SHOWWHEEL

In this project, I aimed to combine and showcase the three disciplines I work with: concept development, video directing, and construction.

The result was an analog showreel flipbook machine.

I began by editing a showreel of my most recent work at the time. Each frame was printed on paper and folded over metal wire, then glued onto two large wooden circles, each one meter in diameter. These circles rotated exactly once in the time it took to play the showreel, creating the flipbook-style video effect.
